Europe united for a brighter future
LUMENS is a EU-funded project under Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Actions programme, which aims at enhancing the competitiveness of utility-scale RES plants. This will be done by connecting stakeholders and creating a knowledge hub featuring case studies, success stories and open-source tools, providing practical guidance on planning, sizing and market performance.

Our purpose
Aims
We aim at making RES plants more competitive across the EU to meet the EU decarbonization targets by addressing the issues hindering their full market integration, including outdated grid infrastructure, limited system flexibility, complex regulation frameworks and rising NIMBY attitudes. This is essential for facilitating the deploying of new utility-scale RES plants and maintaining previous ones.
Process
We will implement a comprehensive strategy built on three key pillars: establishing a multi-actor engagement framework to ensure a strong stakeholder dialogue and capacity building, creating a dynamic repository of knowledge transfer materials, which includes success stories and recommendations, and executing a continuous knowledge transfer strategy that promotes direct interaction with key international market players.
